About the Epstein Barr Virus Epstein-Barr virus, frequently referred to as EBV, is a member of the herpesvirus family and one of the most common human viruses. The virus occurs worldwide, and most people become infected with EBV sometime during their lives. In the United States, as many as 95% of adults between 35 and 40 years of age have been infected. When infection with EBV occurs during adolescence or young adulthood, it causes infectious mononucleosis in 35% to 50% of the infected individuals. EBV is never cleared from the infected individual. The virus stays in the body of the infected individual for life. This type of infection is called a latent or chronic infection. Until recently, the medical community believed that a latent infection is harmless. However, in the last few years a number of scientific studies showed that a latent Epstein Barr virus might be the cause of many major diseases, including cancer, heart disease, multiple sclerosis, and chronic fatigue syndrome. How can a latent Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), and other latent or chronic viruses, cause these diseases, and what can one do to protect himself against these viruses? To answer this question, we start with a little background in biology, explained in everyday language. To make the information even more accessible, we use the Q&A format. The questions and answers are based on the highly acclaimed scientific discovery by Dr. Hanan Polansky, first published in his 2003 Purple book entitled: "Microcompetition with Foreign DNA and the Origin of Chronic Disease." More information on the discovery and a few reactions of the scientific community to the discovery are available on the publisher's website. Do the major diseases start with a genetic mutation? How does a virus manufacture its proteins? What happens to the human genes when a virus is present? Which chronic viruses are dangerous? How can I protect myself against the Epstein Barr Virus (EBV) and other chronic viruses Where can I get the antiviral Gene-Eden? Do you want more information about mononucleosis? What is a protein?
What is a latent or chronic virus?
Gene-Eden includes five natural ingredients: Green Tea (Camellia Sinensis) Extract, Quercetin, Licorice Extract, Cinnamon Extract, and Selenium. The following table lists the number of scientific papers published on each of these ingredients according to PUBMED as of September 1, 2009.
See a small selection these studies here. After analyzing the clinical and laboratory observations reported in these studies with our proprietary bio-informatics computer program, our scientists concluded that the listed natural ingredients have a strong, broad range (that is, against many viruses), antiviral effect. You can buy directly from polyDNA or you can buy from Amazon, just click on "buy from" buttons under the image of the Gene-Eden bottles.
