Gene-Eden: Sleep Supplement
Surprise! Better sleep with Gene-Eden, an antiviral supplement

Problem Sleeping? It might be a chronic virus

Your sleeping problems might be caused by stress, depression, diet, or a disease such as Fibromyalgia (FM), and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS). But it can be a result of a virus hiding in your body.

Recent studies show that chronic infection with viruses can cause sleep disorders. A recent scientific review written by Professor Mark Opp from the University of Michigan Medical School states that “Data reviewed demonstrate the extent to which sleep is altered during the course of (an) infection." (Ref. 1, 2) In one of these studies, a team of scientists headed by Professor Jose G. Montoya from the University of Stanford School of Medicine showed that many people who suffer from a sleep disorder can benefit from an antiviral treatment. In this study a group of patients who had a high concentration of chronic viruses in their body and who were also suffering from sleep disturbances, were treated with valganciclovir, an antiviral drug. The antiviral drug was highly successful. It resolved the sleep problems in 75% of the patients! (Ref 3)

What about antiviral treatments for chronic viruses?

Some known antiviral drugs include Acyclovir (acyclovir) - approved for the treatment of herpes zoster (shingles), Valganciclovir - approved for the treatment of human cytomegalovirus, and Valacyclovir - approved for the treatment of herpes simplex virus. Although these drugs have serious side effects, are not approved for sleep disorders, and were not openly tested against chronic infections, they might be effective against sleep disorders.

There are also several supplements on the market, which claim to have an antiviral effect, for instance, Super Viragon, Oil Leaf Extract, and Wow Drops. We have no knowledge of the effectiveness of these supplements against chronic viruses, and specifically, against sleep disorders.

What about the sleeping pills like Ambien and supplements like melatonin?

According to the Consumer Reports website (Ref 4): “Most sleep drugs are supposed to be taken for no longer than two weeks or so, and continued use could lead to serious side effects or dependency; “rebound” insomnia, in which sleeplessness returns and might actually worsen; memory lapses; and hallucinations.”

What is the reason for these side effects? Sleeping pills like Ambien and supplements like melatonin change the chemistry in our brain and create an artificial chemistry more conducive to sleep. However, this artificial chemistry also creates the serious side effects, and because of the adoptive nature of our brains, the dreaded dependency.

Unlike these sleeping pills and supplements, Gene-Eden targets a common cause of the sleeping problems, the chronic viruses in our body. Gene-Eden does not create an artificial condition, but recovers the more natural, healthy condition characteristic of a system with little or no chronic viruses, a system that experiences uninterrupted, refreshing sleep.
